Feb 14 (Valentines Day) – trading update

Having a day off trading today.  Away from the Old Street office.

I was feeling progressively worse throughout the week – thanks to the continuing losing streak. I have now managed to reach the very low point of my equity curve since resuming trading in May 2013 (that’s after excluding all the JBT trading activity from the analysis).  At the end of Monday last week I was at the peak having recovered from -5.5R to get to +3R, in the last 8 trading sessions I have managed to lose everything back to once again reach -5.5R.  Thus, around 10.30am yesterday morning I packed up my things and was about to leave the office – at which point my three trading colleagues had a long chat with me – gave me some constructive advice and encouragement – which was very welcome.  I have already managed to have a think about some of the things which are likely to have contributed to the recent poor performance.

I have also arranged a skype call with my trading coach for this afternoon to talk things over.
