I don’t have anything exciting to share on my front at the moment. I’ve been working hard all day Sunday and Monday putting into reality the plans I devised over the weekend. Spent a lot of time yesterday looking at the way I swing-traded FX in 2011. Again there would be nothing for me to look at unless I had already been a good record-keeper even back then. Record-keeping in that sense entails taking snapshots of charts, jotting down thoughts, making diary notes etc.
[“Swing trading” refers to taking trades that generally last a few days and are often taken from the 1H or 4H timeframes, as opposed to “day trading” when positions are generally opened and closed within the same trading session.]
So with nothing else to report I thought I share the blog post from my mentor on USD-Ruble. It’s a great read. If you want to trade USDRUB – FXCM seems to have recently removed it from their list of available products. However CMC Markets offers it with a spread of 4 pips on their CFD accounts.
