Due to me now having a well-balance life more often (= more play, less work) and thanks to Acoustic Jazz at Ronnie Scotts, I only arrived at the office at midday today.
The market had moved a lot from 8am thanks to some unscheduled ECB sources comments regarding the ECB’s Quantitative Easing program – this caused equities to rally (on both sides of the Atlantic) and caused a tumble in the Euro. Then UK news missed and the ZEW reading missed too. As a result of the markets having moved so much during the morning, I was quite hesitant to look to open further trades.
However i waited patiently, and struck a bit of luck with a trade on the DAX. I had risked only 0.75R because I was trying to get long on the US30 at the same time after having seen a good bullish 123 reversal signal.
Thus, only a single trade today – but a gain of 0.85R for the session.
