8/9: Brief Trading Update

Another busy day.  I have been meaning to work on developing my trade management abilities but have not made a lot of headway yet.

Yesterday was a very quiet day because the US was on holiday.  Today was a bit busier, but still on the quiet side, with no Tier-1 news other than Australian and Chinese data that came out during the Asian session.

Executed 8 trades in the last two sessions, again making some profits on Cable and DAX, and losing on EURJPY and EURUSD.  The pattern continues.  All in all down 1.01R over the two sessions.  Let’s see how the rest of the week goes.

As planned, have started looking at FTSE and looking less at NZDUSD.  Also concentrating on implementing some adjustments in my trade management approach.

The other highlight today was a skype call with an Munich-based ex-professional trader (fx and fixed-income products) who then started trading on his own account and has been doing ok for the past five years.  This was followed by an exciting follow-on conversation with my two colleagues in the trading office.

Working rather hard.

Will head out and do some speed-skating now to let off some steam!

Good luck for your own trading (to whoever may read this).
