Q: I am interested in learning how to trade. How do I go about it?
Q: There are lots of references to R in the blog posts. What does this refer to?
A: Look at blog posts tagged as Risk & Money Management. Those posts vary in assumed level of reader’s existing knowledge. Very simple speaking, ‘R’ refers to one unit of risk. Generally speaking, a trader risks one unit of risk per trade. Thus it is possible to compare performances of traders different position sizes and risk-reward targets, just by comparing their performance in units of R. Not sure whether that helps, or confuses things further!
